What are Dan Tyre Office Hours?
A Commitment to Personal Connection
To maximize my impact and help as many people as possible, I've dedicated 15 days each year to in-person or virtual meetings with anyone who's interested in connecting. Since 2012, I've had the privilege of meeting countless motivated individuals who are making a difference around the globe. There's a unique power in face-to-face interactions, or virtual meetings for those who are geographically distant. Office Hours allows me to truly understand challenges, leverage my business experience, and inspire positive change. Plus, it's incredibly rewarding.
Stuck? Confused? Need a fresh perspective? Do you have questions about your career, new opportunities, starting a new job, changing career, starting or scaling your business, getting new customers, retaining current customers, building a world class culture or finding product market fit?
Whether you're an entrepreneur, mentor, mentee, job seeker, investor, career changer, non-profit leader, student, or community member, I'm here to listen, offer guidance, and collaborate on solutions.
Whether you're an entrepreneur seeking feedback, job seeker, non-profit leader, government staffer, student or community member or an investor looking for promising opportunities, or simply someone looking to connect, I'm here to listen, offer guidance, and collaborate on solutions. Office Hours is also a great opportunity to present new business ventures or explain potential investments.
From Humble Beginnings
Our journey began at The Henry restaurant in Central Phoenix. Thanks to the generosity of Sam Fox and his team, we were able to utilize a table, great coffee, and reliable Wi-Fi to foster meaningful connections. As the program grew, we expanded to various locations, including co-working spaces like Co-Hoots (Phoenix & Mesa), Galvanize, and The Department. We also strive to schedule Office Hours in cities where I'm traveling.
While much of my work today is online, there's an irreplaceable value in sharing a physical space and collaborating in person and we are ready and able to help you move forward.
How do I Participate?
We'll dive deep into your biggest challenges, brainstorm solutions, and unlock your next big idea.
Here's how it works:
- Schedule: Pick a time that suits you from the day and dates below
- Determine Length of Meeting: Pick a 30 or 60 minute time slot
- Prepare: Email me the topics you would like to discuss (up to a limit of three)
- Collaborate: Let me know if you’d like to invite other people
- Show Up: We'll connect, either in person or virtually based on your location
If you're not in the local area, you can still participate. Please indicate "remote" in the scheduling link notes when you schedule and when you send me your topics in advance and I will set up a zoom.
To ensure we get the most out of our time together, please send your discussion topics in advance. Here's how:
- Email: 48 hours before your meeting, send an email to dantyre@gmail.com with "Office Hours Topics" in the subject line.
- Include: Your name, company name (if applicable), and up to 3 detailed topics you'd like to discuss. The more detail, the better I can prepare or involve relevant experts to provide the most value.
Why Prepare Topics?
- Sharper Focus: Pre-submission allows me to tailor the session to your specific needs.
- Expert Insights: Depending on your topics, I might involve additional specialists for a broader perspective.
- Enhanced Solutions: The more I understand your challenges, the better equipped I am to deliver impactful solutions.
Cancellations: Please provide at least 48 hours' notice for cancellations, allowing others to fill the slot. Use the scheduling link to cancel, so that we can select someone from the waiting list.
Lateness: If you're running late for the meeting, please let us know by text or email. For delays exceeding 10 minutes, we will likely need to reschedule.
Why Office Hours?
- Accelerated Learning: Get immediate, actionable advice.
- Fresh Perspective: Gain a new viewpoint on your problem.
- Strategic Thinking: Develop innovative solutions.
- A Dose of Inspiration: Ignite your creativity and motivation.
I copied the Office Hours concept from my good friend Mike Volpe, former CEO of Lola and the original CMO of HubSpot. Mike held regular office hours in Boston when he had time to offer his advice and help in an effort to help people and companies grow.
Dan Tyre Office Hours is a tribute to the countless mentors who generously shared their wisdom with me over the years and who’s only requirement was to pay it forward
